Alert Pregnant: These Are The Things You Should Never Do

Not all pregnancies are the same, however, these are the things that NO pregnant woman should do.

No matter how many times you have been pregnant, they are all absolutely different. Maybe the first time you really want to prepare everything so that the arrival of your baby is like something out of a fairy tale or it could be that all you want is to be on an island in the middle of the Pacific to be able to rest all day.

And although we all live this wonderful stage differently, it is important to keep in mind that there are some activities that NO woman should do, as they can be detrimental to the health of the mother and the unborn baby. So if you are in the sweet waiting, take note of the following:

  • Goodbye to cleaning chemicals

Although some of them are extremely necessary to keep the house always clean, you must bear in mind that odors and even contact with them can generate strong allergic reactions. For this reason, it is always necessary to consult with your doctor about the types of chemicals you are using and the possibility of handling them with special cleaning gloves.

  • Sudden movements

Any movement that includes sharp push-ups or weight bearing can put your health at risk. In both cases, the sciatic nerve can become inflamed, making it very difficult for you to walk, so try to avoid these types of exercises.

  • Physical exercises without consulting the doctor

Staying in shape is always an important matter, but you should know that if your doctor does not authorize you to carry out physical activity on a regular basis, it is best to respect his recommendation, because if you exert yourself too much you can even cause health problems in your baby.

  • Driving with a large belly / paunch

In some countries it is clearly stipulated that driving is prohibited after a certain number of weeks of pregnancy, but not in others. The important thing is that you should know that when taking the wheel of your car, there should be at least 10 centimeters of distance between them. This in order to avoid complications when braking abruptly or in the event of a crash where the airbags (air cushions) have to open.

  • Eating certain foods

Maintaining a balanced diet is key to achieving a smooth pregnancy and a healthy baby. Therefore, you should know that it is better to avoid certain types of foods while you are pregnant, as some of them can cause listeria, a rare but very serious condition. “It is a condition that usually produces a self-limited feverish syndrome with malaise and diarrhea. However, in a certain population, especially pregnant women, newborns and immunosuppressed patients, they can have serious consequences, such as meningitis, sepsis, abortion and perinatal mortality ”, states Scielo on its website.

Among the foods at risk of contamination by this bacterium are: shellfish, fish, ice cream, cold cuts (pate, Viennese, ham, etc.) and cream cheese.

Surely the list will seem somewhat extensive, however, you should know that these are only for a few months, after that with some calm you can resume your absolutely normal life and start doing the activities that you surely miss. Meanwhile, the only thing I can assure you is that the care and waiting seem minimal when you see your baby’s eyes for the first time.
